Building Confidence Through Teamwork and Spirit

The CYC Cheerleading Program teaches boys and girls of all ages the fundamentals of all-star cheer — from tumbling and stunting to jumps and performance — in a supportive, high-energy environment that builds strength, confidence, and lifelong friendships. Our coaches focus on teamwork, discipline, and leadership to help every athlete reach their potential both on and off the mat.

Class Structure

Each class begins with a 15-minute warm-up and 10-minute stretch, followed by focused drills in tumbling, jumps, and stunting.


Athletes progress through levels 1–5 with guidance from experienced coaches who emphasize form, technique, and safety.


Skills Developed:


  • Tumbling fundamentals and advanced sequences
  • Partner stunting and pyramids
  • Jumps, timing, and synchronization
  • Choreography and performance technique
  • Team leadership and spirit-building


Program Hours

Cheerleading classes are offered throughout the week for recreational and competitive levels. Specific class times can be found in the current CYC Class Schedule PDF.

Program Policies

To ensure a positive and safe learning environment, cheerleaders are expected to:

Arrive on time and ready to participate


Follow all safety and spotting instructions


Support teammates through positive encouragement


Wear appropriate athletic attire and cheer shoes


Demonstrate respect and sportsmanship at all times

Semi-Annual Cheer Showcase

Every six months, CYC Cheer hosts a Cheer Showcase for both recreational and competitive teams. These showcases give athletes the chance to perform in front of family, friends, and supporters while celebrating their hard work and growth.


Our next showcase — the CYC Cheer Fall Showcase — features performances from all recreational and competitive teams.

Open Gym

Come join us for CYC Cheer “Open Gym” — a fun, informal training session where athletes can practice skills, connect with coaches, and enjoy the cheer community.


Schedule:

  • 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month
  • Time: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Ages: 6+

Pricing:

  • $5 for CYC Members
  • $10 for Non-Members
