About

Life-Skills Empowerment Group (LEG), and CYC are partnering up to provide SIX UNIQUE courses over the span of two months for both CYC members and Non-Members. The LEG Team spends 50-60 minutes per class fully engaging students with a fun and immersive experience. Afterwards, students will receive lifetime access to LEG's Mentor Portal, where they can review information learned during in-person class(es).

Program Details & Information

  • 8-18 Years Old

  • CYC Member:

    • $5 - per course

    • If you receive financial aid, courses are free (registration still required)

    Non CYC Member:

    • $8 - per course

  • Online registration and online payment is required to attend any of the LEG courses. There will be NO WALK UP REGISTRATIONS allowed.

Courses Offered

  • Date: January 13 (4-5pm)

    Description: Basic repair and maintenance for combustion automobiles, empowers students how to save money and take ownership of their vehicle.

  • Date: January 20 (4-5pm)

    Description: Teaches students the importance of a balanced diet and how food affects energy levels, moods, and health.

  • Date: January 27 (4-5pm)

    Description: Techniques and demonstrated strategies to steer feelings away from non productive behavior.

  • Date: February 3 (4-5pm)

    Description: Students learn to write checks, understand checking and savings accounts, personal budgeting and the reasons they need to know how they work.

  • Date: February 17 (4-5pm)

    Description: Simple practices to care for mind, body and soul, and discover inner resources.

  • Date: February 24 (4-5pm)

    Description: Students acquire standard techniques to address individual challenges, and negotiate paths to achieve basic efficiency.

About LEG

LEG is a nonprofit 501(c)3 founded in 2019 to fill a specific need for American teenagers, and provide them with a chance to learn basic life-skills in a formal context.

Online Module Review

Each topic has an individual and unique scenario based review module. Following the in-person course, students will receive lifetime access to LEG’s Mentor Portal where they can review all the material they learned.
