July 2008

We would like to welcome Natalie Guzman to the gymnastic staff. Natalie brings a multitude of experience to the program. She was a level 9 gymnast for many years and has previously coached competitive gymnasts as well as the lower developmental and pre team athletes. She is a mother to a CYC gymnast and has even trained the National Balance Beam Champion.
After parents showed interest in more class times we have decided to add new classes on a trial basis. The classes begin July 1 and will run at 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. on Mondays. If all goes well, we will offer more classes during these time slots throughout the week. We have also changed class times on Saturday to allow for one more class to be added. All these classes will help reduce the amount of members on the waitlist.
The gymnast of the month is Jenna Fassio. Jenna has been in the Dyno Kids program for over a year now and has just recently moved up to the Skill Level program. Jenna is patient and always ready to try a new skill. When her turn approaches, you can see the determination in her face as she attempts her skill. Rarely does Jenna have a problem with a new skill, but if she does, she doesn’t give up; she keeps trying until she gets it right. She is a good listener and a great example for others in her class. It is a real joy to have Jenna in the Gymnastics Program. Congratulations!
