  Jerriod Mack
  Head Coach, Sports Specific Conditioning

Jerriod Mack joined the CYC in May 2007 as strength and conditioning coach with extensive experience in both sports and fitness management. His professional experience includes stints as a personal trainer, camp director, coach and tutor of young people. As a standout scholarship athlete at the University of California - Berkeley, Mack holds a Bachelor Degree in American Studies and was at one-time nationally ranked in the triple jump.

Coach Mack's main goal is to have a self-sufficient weight room, capable of operating with little supervision. Meaning, students should be able to manage their time at CYC efficiently and effectively. This will allow coaches, student coaches, and students to work together as a cohesive unit. This well-oiled machine will allow participants in the SSC program to benefit from the best quality service the staff and students can provide to each other as well as new members.

"As a coach, I want to develop young experienced lifters in a controlled and safe environment," said Mack. "My students are learning discipline, time management, as well as information about sports and fitness training. Developing a solid baseline with students early sets the discipline, and early goals set the tempo. Once students know and understand the rules, this will facilitate their time management and make them better student athletes."
